Sea Kayak and Cycling on the Shimanami Kaido
The Shimanami Kaido is a 70km road stretching from Onomichi on Honshu to Imabari on Shikoku. It’s one of the most beautiful cycling routes in the world. But the view from the water is also spectacular!
Here we introduce a 3 day, 2 night tour of the Shimanami. The first day involves meeting your kayak guide, a full day’s kayaking ending at the hotel (where your luggage will be waiting for you), dinner and a night in a traditional Japanese inn. The second day, get on the bike to cycle over 3 islands before staying at another traditional Japanese inn. The last day, get back on the bike and cycle to Imabari where we’ll meet you with your luggage. Days 2 and 3 are self guided, meaning you can explore as much or as little as you like. We provide lots of information to make sure you have a great time and see some fantastic places, but ultimately it’s your journey and you’re in charge.
