This two-wheeled exploration traces the heart and soul of western Japan, journeying from the serene, island-dotted waters of the Seto Inland Sea to the dramatic, wave-crashed shores of the Pacific.
Your adventure begins in the charming, artistic town of Onomichi, the official starting point of the world-renowned Shimanami Kaido. As you pedal across a chain of magnificent suspension bridges, you’ll feel the gentle sea breeze and experience the island-hopping tranquility of the Seto Inland Sea.
From the well-trodden paths of the Shimanami, you venture into the less-traveled, awe-inspiring landscapes of Shikoku – a land of ancient traditions and raw, untamed nature. You’ll ride through lush green valleys, alongside clear rivers, and past remote villages.
The finale awaits at Cape Ashizuri, the southernmost point of Shikoku, where you can feel the untamed energy of the Pacific and reflect on the distance you’ve traveled. This is a journey where challenge meets tranquility, tradition meets nature, and every pedal stroke brings new discovery.
