Miho and I would love to show you a video of our most popular tour, Cycling the Shimanami Kaido. We’ve been to the islands hundreds of times, always with our camera in hand; but, whenever we get there, we get carried away riding our bikes, chatting to the owner of a small cafe, or swimming in the clear still waters of the Seto Inland Sea. It’s only at the end of all of this that we realise we’ve forgotten to take our camera out – sorry about that! For now, the best we can do is to show you one made by some Japanese cyclists. They didn’t go to the same inns that we use, they choose some rather hilly roads, and carried lots of luggage…but looking past all that, it really captures the beauty of this perfect area. Enjoy! Oh, and if you have a knack for taking video and want to explore this remote part of Japan…get in touch!
